John Punshon is a highly accomplished architect and project leader with over 35 years of experience in architecture, urban development, and construction delivery across Australia. As Design Director at SPG Land, he brings a wealth of expertise and a strategic, hands-on approach to managing complex design processes across SPG Land’s landmark developments.

John’s background includes leading architectural and project delivery for high-rise residential and hotel projects, hospitals, educational facilities, master-planned communities, and commercial precincts. Prior to joining SPG Land, John served as Principal and Managing Director of his own firms, providing end-to-end consultancy in architectural design, project and construction management. His leadership has shaped major public and private sector projects, including work for Queensland Health, NSW Health Infrastructure, and leading developers across the eastern seaboard.

He holds dual degrees in Architecture and Architectural Science from the University of New South Wales, is a registered architect in both Queensland and New South Wales, and a licensed Open Class Builder Supervisor. John’s expertise and experience has been acknowledged by his elevation to Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and title as a Graded Arbitrator with the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia.
